Prema Consulting Group provides forensic engineering, building assessment, structural design, and engineering consulting services for commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, and public-sector clients. Our multidisciplinary team supports investigations, existing building evaluations, structural modifications, capital planning, and engineering design across the lifecycle of a building.
We work with property owners, community associations, commercial real estate professionals, manufacturers, developers, contractors, architects, attorneys, insurance professionals, municipalities, and public agencies across a wide range of building and infrastructure projects.
Prema supports projects from initial building assessments and forensic investigations through structural design, repair consulting, Engineer of Record (EOR) services, construction support, and project consulting. Our services help clients make informed engineering decisions at every stage of a building's lifecycle.
A Property Condition Assessment evaluates the physical condition of an existing building to identify deficiencies, estimate future capital needs, and support property acquisitions, asset management, financing, and due diligence.
A Facility Condition Assessment provides a comprehensive evaluation of building systems and components to help owners prioritize maintenance, plan capital improvements, and extend the useful life of their facilities.
A Building Milestone Inspection evaluates the structural condition of aging buildings where required by applicable regulations. It identifies signs of structural deterioration and provides recommendations for further evaluation or corrective action when necessary.
Building assessments are commonly performed before purchasing a property, planning renovations, budgeting for capital improvements, meeting regulatory requirements, or evaluating aging building assets.
Prema provides structural engineering design, existing building modifications, Engineer of Record (EOR) services, building envelope consulting, repair design, construction support, and project consulting for a variety of building types.
A structural engineer should be engaged when planning renovations, structural modifications, additions, equipment installations, repairs, or projects that may affect a building's structural performance or code compliance.
An Engineer of Record assumes responsibility for the structural engineering design, construction documents, and engineering oversight required for a project while coordinating with project stakeholders throughout design and construction.
Our team supports commercial buildings, industrial facilities, parking structures, condominiums, healthcare facilities, educational buildings, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and precast/prestressed concrete and structural steel projects.
Forensic engineering involves investigating structural failures, construction issues, and building performance concerns to determine the cause of observed conditions and provide objective engineering opinions supported by technical analysis.
Forensic engineering services are commonly retained following storm events, structural damage, construction disputes, moisture intrusion concerns, or when an independent engineering evaluation is needed.
Investigations typically include site inspections, document reviews, engineering analysis, photographic documentation, and a written report summarizing observations, findings, and engineering opinions.
Prema combines forensic engineering, building assessments, and structural design under one multidisciplinary team. Our engineers emphasize technical accuracy, practical recommendations, disciplined project execution, and clear communication to help clients make informed engineering decisions.
